This is just a really quick fun post because I’m really busy right now. It did make me slightly more stressed than I already was but I promptly closed this tab and started playing sims so we love love living our best lives.

I have one fear that I’ll not understand this book at all and it’ll put me in a slump for the rest of me life.
2. The Bell Jar
I don’t know if I’ll ever be emotionally stable enough for this not to trigger me. I really want to read it though wahh.
3. Ready Player One
I think the reason I haven’t read this yet is because I’m not particularly interested in the concept but I really want to see what the hype is about.
4. Norweigan Wood
I think I’ll love this book so much I’m afriad to read it. A form of self destruction? Maybe.
5. A Little Life
This explain itself tbh. I don’t want to be HURT, okay?
6. Cujo
I’ve been putting this off foe October but everytime October comes around I have no inspiration to read it. And I don’t want a dog to die.
7. Anne of Green Gables
I’ve had this book on my shelves for agesss. I’m don’t want every Canadian to hate me if I don’t like this. I really want to watch the tv show too I don’t know why I’m a dumbass.
8. The Goldfinch
Out of all of these books this is the one that has a valid-ish reason for me avoiding it. The Secret History by Donna Tartt is my favourite book of all time and I’m so so scared I won’t like this. It’s very irrational because it sounds amazing and has amazing reviews so hopefully it’ll be chef kiss.
9. Prisoner of Night and Fog
I don’t know how much I want to read a book with a living breathing Hitler in it but it has fantastic reviews and I can’t lie that I’m intrigued for days.
10. Leah on the Offbeat
I was dying for this release but a year later I still haven’t picked it up. I heard from multiple people that the bisexual rep in this is horrendous and as a bi bitch I don’t want to be OFFENDED. I deserve better than shitty not own voices rep.

They fall in love. Get’s me every time.

This can mean so many different things. I don’t mean forbidden like incest. I don’t mean forbidden like being a gay couple in a homophobic country (I can’t deal with the heartbreak sis) I mean, oh no there’s this weird law that means we can’t be together in this fantasy world!! If a series doesn’t have the found family trope I don’t want it. I love having a wide array of characters who are all completely different in ever way and seeing them interact. I love all the different dynamics and ships. It’s so pure and fills my heart with so much joy.

I got bored living my space suburban life so I started an art channel on Youtube and wrote a mystery book. BOOM! I’m running from my killer Margo Roth Spiegelman and she kills me with an elevator. I get buried and my tombstone is ominous and weird and makes me look cool as hell.

I didn’t know what to do for my first blog post so I decided to be original and do this tag xx
1. Why did you start this blog? I don’t have any in real life friends that read and it makes me really sad!! I want to talk about books that I love to people who’ve read them and have fun.
Another reason I’m starting this blog is because I want to start reading more critically and stop being a low-key passive reader. I think reviewing books is such a great way to dissect books and really understand the way books are written etc.
2. What are some fun and unique things you can bring to book blogging? Uhhh I mean I’m adding another queer voice to the community and that’s great. But honestly I’m just doing this for my own enjoyment and if people want to engage with me I’d be so delighted but if not then it’s whatever.
3. What are you most excited for about this new blog? I want to meet friends!! Slide into my dms!!! Hit me up!! I’m lonely!!!!
4. Why do you love reading? Reading really takes me out of my head which is so necessary for me to cope. It gives me so many different perspectives on things which is truly invaluable and makes me (and everyone who reads) a more empathetic and kind person. Also, it’s just a fun time. It doesn’t always have to be that deep. Sometimes I just want to relax.
5. What book or series got you into reading? I have lots of answers to this question because I went through phases of reading everyday and not reading for years when I was growing up. When I was a kid I really loved those Rainbow Magic books and my mom would read them to me and my sister every night. As I got older I really loved Jacqueline Wilson’s books. Then in my pre-teen years I picked up The Fault in Our Stars and loved it (i know i know) and from there read loads of John Green books. Then, I found The Hunger Games and Divergent and Harry Potter it all took off from there.
6. What questions would you ask your favourite authors? I wouldn’t ask them specific questions but I really just want to sit down with my favourite authors (specifically Donna Tartt) and just listen to her talk about whatever she wanted to talk about.
7. What challenges do you think starting a blog will be the hardest to overcome? I know I’ll find it difficult to be consistent when school starts up again but I’ll do my best. Other than that, it’s going to be hard for me to remember to take notes for the books I’m reading that I’m writing reviews for.
8. When did you start reading? I probably starting reading when I was like five or something but I definitely took years out of reading when I was growing up like I said before. I don’t think I started consistently reading until I was fourteen or fifteen.
9. Where do you read? I always just read in my bed or on my bed with a blanket. I never read where there’s too many people around because I get distracted way too easily.
10. What kind of books do you read? I read a wide variety of genres and I go through phases of wanting to read new YA releases or wanting to read backlist stuff. In general though, I love YA contemporary and fanatsy a lot but I also read a lot of literary fiction and classics and historical fiction and stuff.
